FILM NIGHT
SPECIAL FILM SCREENING
Architecture Student Films of the 1950s and 1960s
6:30pm
Friday 25 March
Prince Philip Theatre, Architecture Building
Free Entry. Bookings essential - RSVP by 21 March
Ten short films will be screened with introductions by some of their creators.
This event is a rare opportunity to view a classic collection of films from the 1950s and 1960s, created by some of Australia’s foremost architects and designers from this ‘golden era’. Identities such as Robin Boyd, John Gollings and John Denton, as well as university and Melbourne architectural landmarks, are captured in these films in a period before the design changes and urban renewal of the 1970s took hold.
